Hello and welcome to my about me. Thanks for taking the time to check out putting us first. I’m a wife, mother, and I/O Psychologist. Being a wife and mother is something that I know many of you can relate to. I have to maintain my home, feed my family, keep us on budget and keep our lives organized and calm. Being an I/O Psychologist is a bit unique. I/O stands for Industrial / Organizational; basically I apply the principals of psychology to business. I also apply them to my daily life in order to improve motivation, emotional stability, and establishment of healthy routines and behaviors.
My husband Keith and I have been married for 12 years and our daughter Kyla is a senior in high school. Keith has a bachelor degree in psychology, but maintains a carer in IT management in order to support our family while I pursue a career in human resources. Kyla focuses on finishing her high school career and starting her college career. Her days are filled with studying, SAT prep, and applying for college scholarships.
I keep motivated and organized through the use of paper planners and a healthy obsession with psychology / self help books. I’ll share all of this with you. I’m also using this as a platform to share my personal journey towards a healthier lifestyle physically. Both my husband and I have 100 lbs to lose each. We’re also very focused on staying on track financially; we do this by cooking at home and shopping from adds.
This is my platform for living my life out loud. I’ll share with you both my successes and my lessons learned so we can grow together.
